I should probably say "probably" in the title, but we've been going to El Palangui for almost 20 years, we know them very well and they are more like family to us now. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. They have watched our children grow up and although we rarely deviate from our usual Chipperones, Calamari Andaluz, Almejas, Fideuá and a crisp dry white wine, we have never been disappointed. Be sure to ask for a table on the terrace and you can't have lunch any closer to the Mediterranean without getting your feet wet.
OK.... so first of all, this is a wild hike following the coastline and it has a few ups and downs along the way. If you have really bad vertigo, maybe it's a good one to pass on. To get there, drive up to the lighthouse at El Far de Sant Sebastien... about 20km from CCD (there is a rather good sushi restaurant below the lighthouse with a terrace and views).
There is limited parking up there, so get there early or go out of season. From the lighthouse, take the trail north past the Iberian ruins. You can't get lost on this one... keep following the trail until you come to the little bay of Cala Pedrosa. As the name suggests, it's not a sandy bay, but has a chiringuito in the summer months and is a good place to stop and take a breather... and possibly a beer....
From here there is a pretty steep climb up the cliffs and then onwards to Tamariu. The route can be downloaded here via Wikiloc
